Today's installation! The crate is 127"x44"x8" and weighs 102 pounds. The art was worth it!
Hanging grids and circular mirrors. The mirror is 55" diameter. The designer wanted to achieve the look of one picture with these twelve vintage botanicals. I think she did. 1/2" apart.
Hanging high in a spiral staircase. I have the leveling feet but this was easier, faster and safe!
That's right! Blah Blah Blah!
Another good use for blue painter's tape, mapping out where your going to install the tentacles around the picture of the Kraken!
Joel will be covering hardware, tools and tips for the Frame shop, Gallery owner or installer that wants to know how to get the job done fast and right the first time!
One of the largest groupings I've done in a while. 38 pictures total. Three hours to design, measure and hang. All on double strap hangers and two hooks. Not ba...d. I never mock up my groupings, I don't have the luxury. I lay it out on the floor, get the thumbs up from my client, measure and hang. I'll be going over grouping tips in my installation class in Las Vegas later this month. See more
Had to de-install this interesting piece of art today. Each colored Square is a individual piece, even the little ones. There are four metal panels mounted to t...he wall and each wooden Square is held in place by a magnet mounted inside. The challenge was to take it off the wall in tact in four parts so we don't have put the whole thing back together when I Re Hang it next month. I should have taken pictures when it was half down but I got preoccupied with the job. See more
Marathon install today. 73 pieces! Here's 40 of them. 6.5 Hrs. A lot of groupings throughout the house.
A first tonight. Installing art during a Karate Class. They donated the space for an art show! There was more art throughout the building.
These mirrors were 5'7' and weighed about 250-300 lbs. Piece of cake!
