This is a great way to keep track if there are any changes in a mole.
Important tip before your next skin exam (you are getting one at least once a year, right?): Remove nail polish from your fingernails and toenails. Your doctor ...needs to see your nail beds, as skin cancers can form there. To find a dermatologist in your area, consult our physician finder: SkinCancer.org/physician-finder
A question I get asked is "how often should I get a facial"? I really depends. In the summer if your going to be really active using a lot of sunscreen and perspiring a lot, you may need to see me more often like every 3 to 4 weeks to keep you pores clean and control pigmentation. If you mainly indoors and have a good home care routine then every 6 to 8 weeks would work for you. Now at times hormones may change the skin or stress so I'm always here to help when that happens.
I'm doing a special for the month. For new clients I'm offering 20% off your first facial and to my wonderful clients I will give you 20% off your facial when you refer a new client.
This a skin care line that I was lucky to find. I really love it. Simple and effective. The sunscreen is lovely. It's sheer and hydrating. It's a physical sunblock so really protects your skin. The products are really changing the skin but not irritating. http://envymedical.com/index.php
To exfoliate or not to. A question I'm asked often. You want to remove the dead skin but you don't want to rub your skin raw. So you want to use a mild exfoliate with jojoba beads that you can barely feel. If your more on the oily side or more active 2-3 times a week is good. If your dry or more sensitive 1-2 times a week. If your using a clarisonic that is your exfoliant. And I think it's great. But some can be heavy handed like the tooth brush so be gentle and you'll be fine. Let the brush do the work don't press down. You do need to exfoliate to remove the dead skin so your product can work better. Who wants to waste product on dead skin. Not me. If your skin starts to feel dry then don't exfoliate as much.

Since its been so warm many of us have been hitting the beach. Here are some tips in case you get a sunburn. http://www.parents.com/kids/safety/outdoor/sunburn-remedies/
Have I told you how much I love derma-planning. (Which is a treatment that is similar to shaving but closer using a surgical blade.) I love, love it. It is great alone to remove the dead skin and the peach fuzz leaving the skin so smooth. It can be combined with a facial or a peel as well. You skin feels alive and your makeup goes on fantastically. Questions I'm asked about derma-planning - (will my hair grow back thicker?) no it won't, you will have one day you will feel the growth coming back as I do cut the hair. (Is it better then microdermabrasion ?). No it is completely different procedure and not as invasive. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.
With this warm weather here, we are all perspiring more. So there is a new mineral makeup line made for active women and won't clog your pores. Also it is refillable which is not common. The sunscreen alone is a great buy. They are having a special today by using GMA code. https://sweatcosmetics.com
