Just for fun.. can anyone guess what kind of flower this is?? Here’s a hint: normally you wouldn’t let this plant get to the flowering stage, but mine only produced one stalk this year, so I just let it bloom since I love the flower it makes @jd_landscapedesign

Daylilies! These are a fun pop of color each late spring/summer. They can be a little higher maintenance as they get dead leaves that need to be removed from the bottom. But I love all the colors they come in, especially this not so common Hemerocallis ‘purple galaxy’. So pretty, right? @jd_landscapedesign @ Tracy, California

Every spring I look forward to this tree blooming This show stopper is a Palo Verde tree aka Cercidium x ‘desert museum’. The bright yellow flowers that literally COVER the tree are so lovely against the lime green bark. This is a true desert tree and requires very little water.
