JAH decided to get Kamagong (Filipino HARDWOOD) @fma_supply & a custom built 3-Woods Handmade Pair #hickory #wenge #paduex (Thanks again to @wolfdenmaa for the amazing NUNCHAKUS!! ) #ohhhhafellowchuckerehhh #everysooftenibechucking #threewoods Now you'll notice differences in the lengths of rope in between!! That's HELLA i...mportant! WHY JAH WHY? tell us... Welp, as told to me (by the Artist who made them!) The length of the cord will dictate what type of use are ya gonna have. Meaning the 3Wood is going to be utilized by a Nunchaku Practioner who like Bone Breaks and Joint Manipulations. Fast like a boxer with lightning jabs and they will tuck under their arms for whip like crosses. For flowing yeah, the longer cord helps for back hand passes. Oh I have Japanese Styled Weapons yo. I mean *cough #80sbaby so there was hella Ninja Movies then and the Martial Arts world was blowing up. Styles were being recognized. I fell in love watching Karate movies with my Dad. We would watch Chuck Norris flicks or other great Martial Art films. I loved JCVD too his incorporation of flexibility blew my mind. Channel 8 was a local station that played Kung-Fu dubbed flicks Jackie Chan, Jet-Ii, or Sammo Hung Stylee the 5 Venoms or the... White Tiger Vs the Drunken Monk or I dunno EagleClaw Etc Etc. I ate it all up. I imitated it. I never had formal lessons in a class setting til I was 18 years old. But again Uncle came in clutch & showed me my Heritage. "Gotta dispute, go out side with these sticks til some one comes back in bleeding [or you make up!]" Uncle Romart by way of Papa Augustine Quiros. I recall getting a few pairs of sticks and a basic bag to fit it all. Balisongs were illegal in California so I couldn't get my 1st live Balisong til I moved to Texas in '01 for a 'bout a year. But pictured are trainers duh. There are 2 live blades I train with too. For weight differences & feel #jahfeelme I have trainer blades different lengths. I have some Filipino hardwood or Kamagong wood. Uhh might be legal right?! Smuggled in from the Philippines to me between hella Barong Tagalogs & Wallesks ahahaha OH look at that Flat Bone Breaker Style stick or the Magic Wand lookin one that is shaped for whip like effect! There's a Rosewood Pair. 2 pairs of Largo Mano Style which is Longer than the average Baston or Stick. My Papa's Army Machete I do train with. He remade a Handle in Wood.
