Why you should hire a designer... and if they did, then, why you should fire a designer.

To say that 2020 was a rollercoaster of a year, with the lowest of lows and the highest of highs, would still be an understatement! I started the year at an all time high, then it all came crashing down to an all time low. Somewhere in that low, I decided to not let it all be a dumpster fire and I picked myself up and started applying to ALL the certifications. Each test harder than the next, but I was determined to take them all and pass them! Now, let me explain why this wa...s a crazy move... You see, I don't need these certifications to do my job. As a matter of fact, almost every designer you know doesn't have any of these certifications, hell most of them don't have a single hour of Interior Design schooling for that matter. But for me, as a woman in the construction industry, a minority, a woman that has always felt the need to 'prove' myself, this was the ultimate feather in my cap. The credentials that undeniably tells the world that I am, who I claim to be... A FN DESIGNER! But not just any designer, a Certified Interior and Building Designer, General B and Pool Contractor! I am so very lucky to have the opportunity to do what I wholeheartedly love every single day, even on the days when I hate it! Nothing is ever perfect, ima right?! When you find yourself in your lowest of lows, give yourself a few days to be with your feelings, and then pick yourself up and tackle something that scares you... Trust me on this one, thats the best time to do it, because you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Now, go look at something pretty today, cause you deserve it!
