9of december Adventcalendar and Giveaway Time because it's midweek HOW TO ENTER TO WIN silveretteCUPS, Follow ... @silveretteusa and @jackiedoula2020 and tag friends on this post in comments, who would like to win a pair of silverettecups ! Giveaway ends Dec 10 th, 8pm PST. Silverettecups Postpartum Yesterday we took care about sore breasts, today it's all about your nipples. Even tough it's very common to have cracked and sore nipples at the beginning when nursing you should never just go through that and it is important that you get support. One can be a IBCLC (Lactation consultant) who looks at baby's latch, tongue tie etc. and also you can get silverettecups. They are made out of silver which is antibacterial, antifungal and anti- inflammatory. The silver has cooling effects (and they can be put in the freezer as well) , and it prevents soreness, cracks and infections. Don't forget that Lotions and Creams always will be absorbed by the baby. And once your done, you can recycle your silverettecups @silveretteusa and make jewelry out of it. Lots of breast/chestfeeding parents love them and recommend them highly. Today you get a chance to make a friend happy to win a pair! #happynipples #silverettecups #giveaway #fullspectrumdoula #doula #doulalife #postpartum #lifeafterbirth #parenting #breastfeeding #chestfeeding And Ps: the silverettes are coming from Italy and please tell me what is not amazing coming from Italy?? Pasta, pizza, shoes....sempre il migliore!

Not really work related and still.... The babies grow up faster than you think or their siblings need some entertainment and learn the ABC. This year shop local, support small business and friends, homemade stuff rather than storebought, recycled, Upcycled and environmental friendly. This year is the year of change! For our climate , for small business owners being in trouble, for not everything should be made in China and for a sustainable living. ... My talented neighbor @vignoche did these abc cards and they are on etsy. Go to her post and link to etsy is in her bio!!!

PREGNANCY: Pregnancy can be wished for or not, can be a shock or a blessing, can be lasting and developing into a newborn or ending earlier (miscarriage, abortion) , can be coming out of love or rape and can be the transformation from a woman to a Mother. It can sometimes never be experienced (fertility issues, not want to conceive,) or is a very short or very long process (IVF). There are woman and men being able to be pregnant and that's why I like to use gender inclusive ...language and talk about pregnant people. I myself experienced 4 pregnancies and I have now 2 children ages 8 years and 5 years. I misscarried before them and was sometimes thinking I would never stay pregnant. 1 in every 4 woman misscarry when pregnant. Pregnancy can be all roses and nice and lovely but there are blunt and harsh realities as well to talk about. The full painting credit goes to Manon Cederroth @monescargotpainting who is an amazing and fast artist. If you need something painted, write her a DM. #pregnancy #abortion #miscarriage #ivf #transgenderbirth #fullspectrumdoula #doula #rainbowbaby #fertility #doulatrainingsint #birthart #artist

Following @avivaromm , a MD is probably the site I am most learning about myself, woman and care about pregnant and birthing people in the most natural way. I do think she has wonderful Tipps, knowledge and presence she shares and it's worth to follow her. Thanks @gilliambuckley for mentioning her a long time ago.... Avivaromm also fought for the #ideservebirthsupport and I think evn though while achieved in some hospitals ,lot of states and hospitals still don't let Doulas in to support birthing people!!!!

Offering all of my VIRTUAL Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum Services but have specially openings for BIRTH end of October through End of the year! If I counted right, end of the year could be a baby-boom;-) Also I am a FULLspectrum Doula, so here for miscarriage, abortions and stillbirth (services are free). Contact me for more information and looking forward to meet all pregnant people at the moment online!!!! ... *****. ***** ***** ****** Maybe it's also time for a little Introduction here on IG My name's Jackie and I have two children (5 and 8y. old. ) They were born in San Diego, I was born in Switzerland Bern. I immigrated to this wonderful and crazy country 8 years ago in ObAma times. I felt like this country just goes upwards. And was so progressive and advanced, back in Switzerland it's still hard for a same sex couple to be integrated but even more to do IVF etc. So I love lots of things in that country but healthcare and how woman give birth is really not how I imagined this country to be. My own experience giving birth showed me that without (volunteer Doula offered through UCSD Hospital) I would have been totally lost. That's when I decided to become a Doula, to empower and support other pregnant laboring person. Having a rough adaption with second child also showed me how Postpartum has to be navigated mostly alone and that growing, loving, nourishing a child and looking well after yourself is a task almost impossible without help. That's why I find Postpartum work very valuable and want to support you in this challenging but beautiful Time. I value this diverse Country and up to this year I was blind (not seeing color at all) being a white privileged, always seeing some of it but not the whole picture. All lives matter only if Black lives matter. Being a Doula and trained by DTI (Doulatrainings International ) and Jessica Diggs opened my eyes and I will learn everyday a little bit more.....and if you don't agree with me, it's probably better you don't hire me. Anyone else, looking forward to meet you! #fullspectrumdoula #doula #doulatrainingsint #blackbabiesmatter #blackmomsmatter #blacklivesmatter #reproductivejustice #birthingjustice

For the difference between "baby blues" and postpartum depression watch this YouTube video https://youtu.be/6kaCdrvNGZw For Postpartum depression some may experience a few symptoms of depression; others may experience several symptoms. Some of the more common symptoms of perinatal depression include:... Persistent sad, anxious, or empty mood Irritability Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, hopelessness, or helplessness Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities Fatigue or abnormal decrease in energy Feeling restless or having trouble sitting still Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions Difficulty sleeping (even when the baby is sleeping), awakening early in the morning, or oversleeping Abnormal appetite, weight changes, or both Aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not have a clear physical cause or do not ease even with treatment Trouble bonding or forming an emotional attachment with the new baby Persistent doubts about the ability to care for the new baby Thoughts about death, suicide, or harming oneself or the baby Only a health care provider can help a woman determine whether the symptoms she is feeling are due to perinatal depression or something else. It is important for women who experience any of these symptoms to see a health care provider. If You Know Someone in Crisis: Dial 911 in an emergency. Call the toll-free National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline) at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The deaf and hard of hearing can contact the Lifeline via TTY at 1-800-799-4889.
