June 6th, 1944 marks the day where the Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy France during WWII to fight the Germans. The battle lasted until August that same year, and 425,000 men lost their lives. We take today to remember all those lives that were lost during this battle fighting for freedom during WWII.
