Meet Chris and Jess! I immediately clicked with Jess as her and I became new moms this past year. We’ve been planning their San Diego since last year and lucky for me, we will continue to plan until next year. They’ve taught me so much about their home state of Virginia, and here are a few of my favorite things:... 1) Virginia is for lovers (coolest motto ever) 2) In the fall you can go apple picking and then make apple cider doughnuts (YUMM) 3) The state is LOADED with Civil War history 4) There’s a festival for everything~ even BACON 5) Brunch and Sunday Funday are really important And for reason #4 and #5 is why I’ll be hopping on the next plan out there once this whole COVID thing clears up! @ksmithsonphotography

A Modern Milk Bath Flat Lay... Earlier this year I was OBSESSED with milk bath maternity photos. I wanted to take them so bad when I was 9 months pregnant~ but let’s just say time ran out and baby came early. Inspired by the maternity look, I took the style to weddings and designed an entire styled shoot around this theme.... ONE YEAR ago, I became a Bride. And GUESS WHAT? We originally planned on getting married in April of 2020. We had a solid guest count of 150, had already booked our wedding venue and I was in the midst of dress shopping.... Little did we know, we had a baby on the way! Let’s just say, EVERYTHING happens for a reason. We cut our guest count to 40, lost our original venue deposit (YUP!) and decided to changed our plans ENTIRELY. We ended up having a surprise #intimatewedding on Catalina Island instead. (YES my Husband planned our wedding and surprised me). And we could not have asked for a more PERFECT day, surrounded by our amazing friends and family. SO to ALL couples who have had to #changethedate #postpone #elope or have an #microwedding, let’s just say, I FEEL YOU. I hope we can connect and I cannot wait to help YOU plan the wedding of your dreams, no matter how big or small.
