Isla Vista Community Services District

Watching the sunset from the parks on DP or at sands is an Isla Vista tradition. Lots of people are doing it. Very few are wearing masks, going in large groups, and the sidewalks and trails don’t allow for proper distance between different households. There are many people in IV that would love to see the sunset but might not want to be near crowds or unmasked people. Respect your neighbors and wear a mask even when you’re outside.

SB County is not yet under the new order, but will be when the Southern California region reaches 15% ICU bed capacity - this is expected to happen in early December. After that it will be 48 hours until the order is in place.
