ISSD Nowruz Celebration today at 4 PM Dear parents and students, We hope you and your loved ones are safe and well and ready to celebrate the Nowruz of 1400. We wish you all a happy Nowruz and a healthy and prosperous new year.... We would like to remind you that our Celebration is on this coming Sunday, March 21, 2021, at 4 PM via Zoom. The program will be about one hour long. Iranian School of San Diego is registering students from all over the world. ISSD with 32 years of experience has developed its own #Farsi_textbooks and teaching style, based on #heritage_language methodologies. We offer classes for all ages from 5 years old and up. We also offer #persiandance #setarclasses #drawing #creativeacting. ISSD has extended its registration deadline to September 9, 2020. The classes start on Sunday, September 13, 2020.

- PCC Annual Meeting and Election Sunday, September 20, 2020 - The Persian Cultural Center general assembly usually takes place on the third weekend of the month of May. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the meeting was postponed. We are planning to have the meeting and election on Sunday, September 20, 2020. If the situation permits at the time, the meeting will be held at the location of Iranian School of San Diego, otherwise there would be a vir...tual meeting and election online. The meeting agenda will consist of the annual report of activities of the past year, projection of the future activities and events for next year, and the election of several new board members who will be replacing the current members whose terms have expired. Please join us. If you have been a member for the last year and are interested in running for the board, please contact us by sending an email to [email protected]. Persian Cultural Center Youth committee Food Drive: August 3rd, 2020 10 am- 2 pm Persian Cultural Center | 6790 Top Gun St. #7, San Diego, CA 92121... In order to help out some families in need, we will be hosting a food drive on August 3rd. We would appreciate any contributions that you can provide. Stop by the PCC office from 10 am-2 pm to drop off your items, preferably canned goods and any other nonperishable items. Out of respect for the volunteers who will be there to collect the items, we would greatly appreciate it if you would wear a mask or face covering for their safety. \PHOTO CONTEST: Dear Parents and students:... We are planning to have a photo contest for all ISSD students. The deadline to submit images is August 31, 2010. The subject of this project is My Planet, My Home. The theme is the environment, global warming, nature, and pollution, etc. The contestants are required to submit one to three photographs. Their photographs will be judged based on the concept and artistic quality. The photographs must be taken by the student. Parents of younger students may only help in sending them. There will be two categories for the participants: 12 years and younger and older than 12. Please encourage your students to participate. The winning photos will receive the following prizes: 1st Place: $100 2nd Place: $75 3rd Place: $50 The winning photographs will be printed and exhibited at the Iranian American Center in the Fall of 2020. They will be also printed in the Peyk magazine. Please email your pictures to [email protected] before August 31, 2020.
