FOLAR (Friends of the LA River) explains the city ballots that affect the River -- be sure to read this before voting on A, M, and HHH (really? There's an HHH?!?!?) https://folar.org/action/
***School of History and Dramatic Arts (SoHDA) Seeks Community AND Virtual Volunteers*** As SoHDA (Sotomayor Learning Academies) students apply for college through November 30, virtual mentors are needed who are comfortable with Google Docs and can help students develop their essays for college applications. Please DM me if you are interested OR email or text is fine -- Marian Olivas [email protected] 818.207.0996. SoHDA also welcomes volunteers from the community for one-time events such as Mock Interview practice, judging for History Day or Senior Defense projects, or standing in as a mentor for student-led conferences. Internships are available for tutoring, classroom assistance, or lending expertise and/or willingness to work with the Drama and Stage Tech program.
Many thanks to the Daurden Performing Arts Collective's young dancers for contributing a wonderful performance at the I See My River Too Festival!
