In an effort to raise funds for our #school, our amazing Class of 2019 is offering virtual tutoring to our current #ischooloc students and donating 100% of the proceeds back to us. We are so proud to see our #alumni proving to be such well-rounded and generous individuals who are honoring our values of #academic excellence and mutual respect. To see such young individuals giving of their time while navigating busy high school schedules is without a doubt making us proud! As the world is celebrating #teachers today, we wanted to take the opportunity to pay special homage to our very own #ischooloc teachers. Your devotion, passion and care are what make our school so unique. Faced with unprecedented challenges in the past few months, our #faculty has found many creative ways to support our students' learning and well-being. Our #OrangeCounty campus joined our LA schools to wish our #faculty a happy 2020 #WorldTeachersDay! Now more than ever, we are very grateful for our #Teachers and their exceptional dedication and energy!

One original feature of the #French approach to #education is its very frequent use of hands-on activities in #preschool and #preKindergarten. Rather than just completing worksheets, our young students are engaged in stimulating and age-appropriate activities that allow them to develop their fine motor and graphics skills. From cutting along lines to painting, working with recycled materials and tracing shapes, all this practice promotes great handwriting skills. With this foundation, our students excel at handwriting and are well prepared for #cursive writing starting in #Kindergarten. Learning while being truly engaged is a big plus for our preschoolers! #frenchimmersion #blingualschool #bilingualeducation

This afternoon, our #Kindergarten students added beautiful colors to our #school canopy with their #art projects. Under the guidance of their #French #teacher, they created colorful #artwork inspired by French artist Jackie Matisse, who is known for her kites. Just like our little ones did, the granddaughter of famous Henri Matisse loved playing with wind, movement and colors to create playful works of art. Another bonus: our #students are developing their appreciation for the arts while also fulfilling our mission of promoting intellectual curiosity from a very young age.

Although our #school is now fully open for in-person learning, our #faculty and #staff have worked relentlessly to provide an alternative for our families wanting to stay home. The installation of 360 cameras in the classroom allows our students from #Kindergarten through 5th grade to follow the classes via live-stream. The camera even moves to follow the voice of the teacher for a fully interactive experience. We are so grateful to have such responsive #staff and #faculty ready to take on any new challenges thrown their way!

It's good to be back! Our #Kindergarten through 6th grade students have now joined our #preschool and #preK students back on campus. Although our lives have changed since the school first closed, some things definitely stay the same, such as friendships and our wonderful school community. It was heartwarming for our #faculty and #staff to see our playgrounds full again!
