The combined Region 2 and 6 Forum was a huge success. We were able to gather both in-person and virtually to hear the state of the IRWA and our region chapters!... President Dalton did a wonderful job sharing about the efforts we have gone through to keep Chapter 36 THE BEST!! We are so excited to announce that our very own Marcus Boyd has been nominated to the Region 2 board!! Congratulations, Marcus!

The IRWA is deeply saddened to have learned that Vickie Turpin, SR/WA, has passed away. She was a beloved member of IRWA for 33 years (Chapter 37 - St. Louis, MO). She served many IRWA leadership positions, including Region 3 Chair and Vice Chair, as well as International Membership Chair in the late 1990s. She also served on the RWIEF as Vice President. She was a very active and giving member, who really advanced the membership committee during her tenure. She also started t...he first timer’s session at the International Education Conference, which is held every year as a way of introducing our first-time attendees to all the many things they can do at the conference, as well some of the best local sites to see. We wish Vickie's family peace, strength and comfort during this difficult time. She will be dearly missed.

The IRWA is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Daniel Beardsley, SR/WA, Esq. He served as IRWA's International President from 2005-2006, and earned the prestigious W. Howard Armstrong Instructor of the Year award in 2013. Dan worked tirelessly to not only improve the quality of people's lives through infrastructure development, but also found innovative ways to advance IRWA's education and credentialing programs. He was even one of the first IRWA instructors to succe...ssfully deliver a virtual course presentation, which ultimately helped pave the way for IRWA's Virtual Class Program. More important than any of his professional contributions, Dan was an extraordinary man of character, who was extremely loving and devoted to his family. The IRWA extends its sincerest condolences to Dan’s wife MaryEllen; his son Sean and his family (Tasha and Liam); his daughter Erin and her family (Cody, McKenzie and Patrick), and the rest of his extended family. We wish them peace, strength and comfort during this extremely difficult time.
