WHO WE ARE: Integrated Resources Institute provides comprehensive services for persons with disabilities in the areas of both employment and independent home settings. Our non-profit organization is recognized internationally as a progressive leader and model employment program for persons with disabilities. Our services also include on the job training and in-home "independent living" development. We provide services to over 150 clients with disabilities throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. To apply please respond to the ad and attach your resume or complete the application at: https://irioc.ersp.biz/index.cfm?event=Apply.index POSITION SUMMARY: EMPLOYMENT JOB COACH Supporting the person to: Be a productive worker in a regular job; Discover their interests, skills, and desires; Get to and from their job location; Try out jobs in intern volunteer sites that match the person's interests; Transition support to co-workers. Above all, we are all about building healthy relationships. One of your main goals will be to develop a friendly professional and respectful relationship with the person(s) you are assigned to, as well as to help them build positive relationships with their with co-workers, roommates, and neighbors. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Completion of High School or GED. College experience or degree is desired, but not required. Reliable auto that can pass our safety inspection. Clean recent DMV record. Experience with Positive Behavior Approach is a plus, but is not required.* Experience with (Autism) ASD is a plus, but is not required, rather an interest in helping a person to be integrated into their community and productive citizens.* * Bi-lingual skills are desired, but not required. First Aid / CPR certificate (desired; we provide additional training as needed).* A comprehensive paid training program is provided at the time of hire and an ongoing basis. REQUIREMENTS: Criminal history review. Automobile liability insurance. Cell phone, computer and texting ability. Ability to speak and write in English. Casual business dress and grooming code adherence is strictly enforced.-Tattoos covered by clothing.-Facial and other visible piercings jewelry removed during work hours (except for ear piercings; no plugs). Maintaining daily notes and data regarding client progress . NOTE that personal cell phone use or texting during work hours is strictly prohibited
