Ione Public Cemetery

The Ione Public Cemetery is seeking a part-time office manager. The position requires a variety of general administrative and supervisory duties related to planning, coordinating, and directing all phases of cemetery operations. Thank you to VFW Post 8254 and DAV Chapter 118 for placing flags on the Veteran graves. We honor those who serve and for the 198 interred here who have served.

Penni and John donated four "Old Red Runaround" roses to our cemetery's Harmony Grove Natural Burial Section. Board member, Pam Bennetts was hand to assist in the planting. Penni and Pam are both members of the Master Gardeners. Thank you for helping us beautify the grounds!

Today the VFW Post 8254 placed flags on the Veterans graves and had a ceremonial laying of the wreath at Ione Public Cemetery. We salute our Veterans and thank them for their service this Memorial Day season. Have not been able to upload the video which showed the whole ceremony and dove release.
