Just wanted to let everyone know as of today Intuitive Dog Training no longer has a suitable location for puppy classes. We are sadden that we can no longer hold our classes. If you would like a private lesson for your puppy we are still happy to come out and help you with your puppy. But no longer have socials and puppy classes. If your looking for a trainer for your new puppy we will help your find the right trainer.

"TO MY LOCAL FRIENDS WHO ARE DOG OWNERS: It looks as though CANINE INFLUENZA VIRUS may have arrived in the South Bay. Local vet clinics have confirmed multiple cases and are seeing many more potential cases. Two area doggy day cares are closed due to confirmed infection. While this is a treatable disease in most dogs, it can progress to serious pneumonia in others. And because it is a new disease to our dogs' immune systems, it has the potential to spread rapidly through our ...community. What can you do? Fortunately, there is a vaccine. Call your vet to see if they carry the canine influenza (CIV) vaccine. There are two strains of CIV. The strain we are seeing locally is H3N2. Make certain with your veterinarian that the vaccine protects against this particular strain. Protection requires two vaccinations 3 weeks apart. Don't skip the booster. It is important. Reconsider doggy daycare, boarding kennels, dog parks for a while - or until 1 week after your dog's second CIV vaccination. This disease is highly contagious, especially where dogs are together in close quarters. Watch for clinical signs in your dog: coughing, nasal discharge, fever. If you have concerns, give your vet a heads-up before you take your dog in so they can take appropriate precautions to protect all their other patients. Other info: Dogs can shed the virus for up to 5 days before they show symptoms and for 3-4 weeks after they recover. The virus can survive in the environment (on clothing, floors, walls, etc.) for up to 24 hours, but is easily killed with routine cleaning." (content credit: Dr. Moore) Please Share this!!!

Class is on for tonight at Pet Food Express in Sacramento! Free Puppy Social (10 to 18 weeks old) at 5:00PM and at 6:30PM Obedience Class $20 per class or $100 for 6 classes.
