Yes, we have a right to regather (with a 25% capacity limitation), but our higher authority is the Love of Jesus. And for our congregation, love demands responsibility to keep others as safe as possible. We offer our prayers and want to support the Reggie Bryant Family, part of our Deaf Community at Inter-Community Church of God in Covina. Early Wednesday morning, Sergio Rodriguez, from Altadena, went on a rampage in the Rancho Cucamonga area, hurting 9 victims, including a police officer and Reggie Bryant II, who was shot at while driving home from work. They are a hard working single income family. Reggie’s car windows were shot out, and a bullet hit his leg and broke his femur (thigh bone). Since his phone was also broken in the shooting, he could not call 911 and drove himself to the hospital in Fontana. Reggie has had surgery on the leg and will be in the hospital for a few days, and he faces a long recovery and rehabilitation time before he can be back at work. Reggie and Lauren were married at ICC in March of 2012.
