Integrated Minds Psychological Services is looking for pre-licensed psychology students, post-doctorate license candidates, and pre-licensed marriage and family therapists interested in Psychological Assistantships. Training and employment are available for Master’s Degree level and above unlicensed mental health professionals looking to attain hours towards licensure, while earning an income. Trainees become W-2 employees under Integrated Minds in order to earn money while t...hey gain hours toward licensure and build their private practice. Integrated Minds Psychological Services Incorporated serves the communities of the Canejo Valley and surrounding areas providing outpatient mental health services. The IMPS Psych Assistant Program provides training in a private practice model setting for students looking to eventually open or join an individual or group private practice. The IMPS Psych Assistant Program trains students in engaging clients from a psychodynamic perspective while integrating evidence based practices preferred by insurance providers. The population mirrors what is typical of the Canejo Valley and presentations range in acuity levels from mild-moderate to moderate, with 80 percent of the population presenting at moderate levels. Students will be working with clients in conjunction with Medical Care Providers to insure continuity of care. Students will become W-2 employees of Integrated Minds and be compensated based on a percentage of payment for their services. Participants are registered with the California Board of Psychology or the Board of Behavioral Sciences and are supervised in both groups and individually through a trainee specific Supervision Agreement that holds the essentials for an independently practicing professional plus the student’s particular interests in mind. Training in this program will include items specific to private practice oriented items including, business start-up, office set-up, billing procedures, standard paperwork requirements, location in the marketplace and community, marketing, financing, insurance contract attainment and management, utilization review, community involvement, community outreach, referrals, ancillary provider contact, branding and growth.
