Yes, absolutely AND, being an advanced mover means being willing to meet yourself where you are, over and over again. It means looking for the opportunities in your practice to be honest and compassionate with yourself. Pandemic, fires, power outages, extreme heat. The fuck? Some days my body tells me to keep moving, some days it tells me to rest. EVERYDAY it tells me to practice radical ACCEPTANCE. ... Yesterday during my class with my current teacher crush, I found myself struggling to keep up. It was hard, my body was tired, my brain a little slow on the uptake. My mind wanted to tell me terrible things about myself. Thankfully my heart stepped in to reassure me. I’m good. I’m showing up for myself and others.
