The Banner Brigade enjoyed a post-vaccination get-together. They were good sports and participated in our video for Indivisible, showing our support for #dcstatehood

Action Alert: The fox is in the henhouse. (PCCP Advisory Committee) We need letters to get him out! Lots of them. Send letters to Greg MacKenzie [email protected] and to all the members of the Board of Supervisors before 4/20/21. See Kris’ note below. Add to Kris’ facts: ... Uhler’s appointment is a conflict of interest as in his current role, developer lobbyist, his clients are the very people who will be seeking dispensation from the PCCP Advisory Committee. As Supervisor, he demonstrated no ability to seek consensus among disparate viewpoints and in fact demonstrates hostility toward viewpoints that do not conform to his own. This quality will not benefit the PCCP’s efficacy. He has not demonstrated that, in fact, he is currently a resident of and residing in Granite Bay Leslie Warren ***************** From: Kris Johnson Date: April 16, 2021 at 11:38:13 AM PDT To: Barbara Smith , Leslie Warren Subject: Kirk Uhler appointment to the Placer County Conservation Program next Wednesday - Letters needed https://www.placer.ca.gov/AgendaCen//Agenda/_04212021-3730 The link above is the agenda for next Wednesday’s meeting when PCA directors (Weygandt, Gore, Karlskinkt) plan to appoint Kirk Uhler to represent Granite Bay area on the Conservation Commissionyes, you read that correctly. Kirk was NOT recommended by our Granite Bay Supervisor, but perhaps in spite of our new Supervisor. Kirk does not have the bona fides for this role for the following reasons: 1) His current occupation is as an advocate for the Placer Business Alliance, a newly formed entity to specifically advocate for business interests in Placer County. 2) His track record in Granite Bay as supervisor was counter to conservation. 3) Our constituents want to be represented by true advocates for our community, not politicians that lost their job in the last election. If you could take a few moments to write emails to the directors on this matter, that is appreciated. There won’t be any public comment allowed on agenda items for that day. Thanks, Kris See more
