IFTA and Myriad Pictures spoke to the LA Times about the struggles independents films face getting into China which have been further exacerbated by the trade disputes. The conversation needs to be focused on gaining legal access to the Chinese market rather than trying to tie producers’ hands in their efforts to surmount the trade barrier, said Jean Prewitt, president of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.

Big news this morning...AFM 2020 to take place online. will run over five days, Monday, November 9 Friday, November 13, shifting one week later than originally scheduled, so as not to overlap with Election Day in the United States. By making this announcement four months in advance, AFM’s stakeholders can move forward and plan with certainty, said Michael Ryan, Chairman, IFTA and Partner, GFM Films.
