Happy Friday! Our Volunteer Action for Aging program just announced their February 2021 schedule of virtual activities. These classes are designed to provide opportunities for adults 55+ to socialize with peers, promote well-being, and help participants navigate the digital world. Services are offered at no cost. Socialization opportunities and technology support may be provided one on one or in small groups. The Independence at Home team distributed 50 insulated grocery bags to seniors at Sierra Dawn Estates Homeowners Association Inc early this morning packed with essential items like toilet paper, rice, beans, canned food, hand sanitizer, and some IAH goodies. Thank you to our friends Becky and Kim at Greater Diamond Valley United Way, who provided six volunteers to help distribute the bags and Sierra Dawn's Dan Goodrich, who helped identify the senior recipients of the bags.
