Happy new year! I keep trying to write a year or the metal rat report and it’s just not coming together. But bottom line is this. The theme of the year is BREAK...THROUGH and RESILIENCE. Breakthroughs are made because one is resilient. The rat doesn’t care what others say about it. It will trudge through no matter what. (The Chinese I put on this graphic literally translates to (rat) counts money year. It’s customary to use the word of the zodiac animal of the year to come up with the lucky greeting. Rat and count is the same sound, different cars tee, but wishing you all a year of abundance with endless money to count! )

1/20/2020 Da Han, Greater Cold. This is the last of the 24 seasonal nodes. It's the cold/dark before the dawn moment of the year. Time to be still one last... time before the bubbling of spring takes over. Be still my heart. With what and how do we want to leap forth for the coming year? Speak now, for I am listening. Take some time in the next two weeks (each seasonal node lasts approximately 2 weeks) to sink into the stillness of you. Take one last deep dive into the fears that have been holding you back. You may realize that those fears were there to serve you, to protect you. Their work is now complete and the time has come to release them. And once you let go of that which has been holding you back, room is made to set new intention, to make those leaps of faiths that you've been hiding from, to shine your light on that which was forgotten. Li Chun, the start of spring and the first day of the new annual cycle will take place on 2/4/2020 and the year of the Metal Rat begins on 1/25/2020. Both are great opportunities for a reset or a fresh start. For some 2020 has seemingly gotten off on the "wrong" foot, or has been a tad chaotic. Remember that all experiences "good" or "bad" all serve a purpose. That which is painful or uncomfortable brings us to be acutely present and allows us to grow. Acknowledge the growing pains, be thankful for the lessons they have brought, revel in the growth you've partaken in. Energetically it’s been absolutely off the wall chaotic for quite some time. But great sailors weren’t made in smooth seas. Chaos and disruption serve to bring grace and resilience. You have come such a long way. We all have to do that once in a while for the greater good of the self. We are not robots after all. And in taking care of the self, we take care of the world around us.
