On Friday, we said goodbye to most of our FUNrichment (distance learning) kiddos as they are heading back to school. As much as we are THRILLED that they are going back to school, we are going to miss seeing these kids every day. We are so proud of all of our staff that helped us this school year. We had no idea what we were doing when we started this (who did?) but this program really became a part of who Impact is. Who knows what the future will hold? (sorry, some not pictured)

March 16, 2020 - It was a year ago today that we closed for 2 weeks to do our part to "flatten the curve." Never in a million years would we think, a year later, that we are operating at 25% and barely hanging on but doing everything we can to make it and to be safe for those that want to return. Whew! Thank you ALL for sticking with us and being willing to come back. Thanks for being patient with us as we tried so hard to navigate all of this. It has been a heck of a year for so many people but nothing makes us happier at Impact than seeing smiling faces back in the gym.

The one day every kid becomes a morning person. Enjoy this wonderful day!

As I am reflecting and thinking about everything that has happened this year, and often second-guess myself on some of the things we are doing and trying so hard to do the right things, an email comes in like this and makes everything so much better and so worthwhile. This is the time of year Miss Jaime works her magic with the Holiday Show and planning our annual staff party or should I say our "Minute To Win It" games (we have a VERY competitive staff)!! Not many of you know about the original Impact on Black Diamond Way where we were pretty much a team-oriented gym. This was back from 2008 to 2011. If you remember, the economy had just crashed in 2008 and things were SO tight. To make ends meet, me, Jaime, and the kids actually lived in an apartment that I had built upstairs in the gym. I told my family it would only be for 6 months. Ummm, it ended up being almost two years. But we saved every dime and we opened the Impact... you know now on October 3rd, 2011, my birthday! I always told myself that if we can survive that, we could survive anything! Well, then came 2020! Doh! Love looking at old pics. Makes me realize what we are fighting for right now! It is so worth it! We would love to hear from any of you that were with us back then. What were your memories? (besides the hot summers hahaha) PS: Some pics taken with my iPhone 3g
