We have a Greater Impact update from our friends at Rooted International: "Thank you so much, Impact family!! Your generous donation to Rooted International is helping Raul and Irma through a very difficult time in their lives. Due to COVID-19 and the hurricanes that hit Honduras in the fall, they lost their jobs as farm laborers. They did not know how they were going to provide for their 5 children and feared separation and starvation. To add to their struggle, the hurricane...s severely damaged their home made of mud and sticks and only two walls remained! YOU have provided the funds for construction on their house, emergency food assistance, funds for their children to attend school online, and the construction of a chicken coop. Raul and Irma are so excited to begin their dream of raising chickens to sell and provide for their family! They no longer have to fear separation due to poverty because of you! God bless you all - thank you for partnering with us to keep kids in families in Central America!" Greater Impact is our annual initiative to expand the tangible reach and depth of gospel impact in Menifee and beyond. As 2020 comes to a close, it’s natural to reflect on the past year. But is our focus on our circumstances, or on the God who sees us through them?

The first Christmas night brought us a Miracle. God became man to show us once and for all: He is with us. No matter what we are going through or how lonely we might feel - we are never alone. This means we have nothing to fear and nothing to prove. There is no greater gift. Merry Christmas!

We were made to worship God, but our pride will always keep us from doing so. To acknowledge His worth requires admitting our own lack of it. So how do we get to that point?

Greater Impact 2021 While 2021 might be as uncertain and unpredictable as the last year, God’s faithfulness and goodness remain certainly predictable. We believe He’s calling us to continue growing our online, local and global impact as a church. As 2020 comes to a close, we hope you’ll join us in looking ahead to see what He’s doing and ask Him how you can be a part of it. We’re asking you to believe big and to sacrificially give. Together, we can change this world one perso...n at a time by living and loving like Jesus. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. ~ Ephesians 3:20-21 On the weekend of December 20th, 2020, we will receive our Greater Impact pledges dedicated to accomplishing the following initiatives, and to making a greater online, local, and global impact. Online Impact: -- Digital Ministry Director Local Impact: -- Serve This City -- Local Church Assistance -- Community Impact Center - Debt Elimination Global Impact: -- Breath of Heaven (Zambia) -- Rooted (Honduras) -- Camp Alandale For more information on each of the above initiates, please visit the Greater Impact 2021 page at: https://www.impactmenifee.com/greater-impact-2020-1 The goal for Greater Impact 2021 is $150,000. You can help make a Greater Impact in several ways: -- One-Time Gift. These can be made online or delivered to the church anytime before December 31, 2020. -- One-Year Pledge. This is a commitment to increase your regular giving by a fixed amount every month for all of 2021. -- Other Donations. This can include stocks, property or any in kind donations you might feel led to give. This is a big goal, but we serve a BIG GOD. If we don’t meet our goal, we will fund as many initiatives as possible with the funds collected. Making one or more of these commitments will be a faith-stretching experience for many of us. As we prioritize giving back to Him, we get to share in the joy of all He’s doing in and through this church family. #greaterimpact2021

Big government or small government? While many argue over to what extent the government should be involved in our lives, God’s people should be asking a different question: Why has government involvement become so necessary? When the Church fails to do its job, people turn to the government. We must recapture our God-given call to be salt and light in our world, to do good works and care for those in need.
