Last but most definitely not least, please welcome our President for the 2020-2021 school year, Rohila Kusampudi!!! Rohila Kusampudi will be serving as the President of IGNITE at UCLA for the 2020-2021 school year! Rohila is a fourth-year student studying Psychobiology and hopes to pursue a career in the medical profession after graduation. Rohila started as a Membership Chair with Ignite in her freshman year and was immediately struck by the power of Ignite to bring like-m...inded, ambitious individuals together for an amazing cause. She found the national movement towards empowering womxn to run for office, increasing access to political platforms and processes, and striving towards greater inclusivity on all sides of the political spectrum to be a cause worth fighting for. Rohila hopes to work with her fellow board members to create real opportunity, awareness, and change at UCLA and beyond. See more

Please welcome our External Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year, Rocio Medina! I’m a fourth year, transfer student, majoring in Political Science, hoping to eventually minor in music industry. I hope to attend law school in the future, focusing in entertainment law, particularly in music. I want to pursue this career path to provide inclusivity in the music industry, specifically to poc and to eventually change the dynamic of the music business to benefit and protect individual artists. I joined IGNITE to engage myself in the political process, and to help provide a community at UCLA that empowers and supports womxn, but to also be part of a group that creates a safe space for womxn.

Please welcome our Internal Vice President for the 2020-2021 school year, Sedina Veli! Sedina Velic is a fourth-year Political Science and Communication double major. Coming from a family of Bosnian refugees, Sedina is interested in giving back to the women most affected by the Yugoslavian war. Having lobbied in DC and worked in USAC’s Office of the External Vice President, she also wants to continue advocating for the needs of students and marginalized communities within the United States, focusing on basic needs and women’s reproductive rights. In the future, Sedina hopes to continue advocating through non-profit work and grassroots organizing. Sedina joined IGNITE to surround herself with powerful women and encourage more women to become engaged in politics.
