Abraham’s Day, ICNA SF Bay Area’s annual event in which we distribute hundreds of meals, winter clothes, and hygiene kits to the Bay Area’s needy will take place on Dec. 5 for packing and Dec. 12 for distribution. This is our opportunity to give back to the community in this unprecedented time in the midst of a world pandemic, economic challenge, and cold winter. Alhamdullah, the packing for the 2nd annual SHADE for the Homeless took place on Saturday, July 18 at Bowers Park at Santa Clara. More than 50 volunteers packed 1,100 bags with summer Items such as a backpack, sunscreen, hat, towel, socks, sanitizer, mask and reusable water bottle to the homeless people around the bay area. Imam Tahir and Raj Chahal Council Member, City of Santa Clara, were present today, both shared some beautiful thoughts about the project during their spee...ch. These bags will be distributed next week on Saturday, July 25 in different cities such as SanFrancisco, Santa Cruz, Stockton, Oakland, San Jose. The cost of the project exceeds $40K.
