Boba = Ice cream = Boba + ice cream = . .... . #Regram @thebobanerd Last week, Icicles launched boba tea floats they call Floateas, and I knew I had to try it. In case you don't know, ice cream was my first dessert love. Luckily, I won their giveaway to get one for free! Read on to see what I thought. @icicles.creamroll in San Jose, CA (11 other locations: Albuquerque, Cupertino, Gilroy, Mountain View, Newark, Pleasanton, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo) Thai Tea Floatea Icicles launched teas to offer next to their rolled ice cream almost a year ago, and now they're starting to let you top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I got the Thai milk tea float, and I thought the tea paired well with the vanilla ice cream. I was a bit bummed that I could only top it with vanilla ice cream, but I think any other flavor would have overpowered the tea. The tea itself is fairly average which is probably to be expected since they focus primarily on ice cream, and the ice cream is what attracts most of their customers. That being said, the actual boba was better than I expected. It was soft and tasted fairly fresh. For a limited time, all Floateas and milkshakes also come in a glass jar to take home and keep. It makes for really cute pics.
