Sunday January 10, 2021 The Book of John Chapter 16 - Part 2 "Prayer Is A Direct Acess To The Father"... John 16:23-24 Biblical truths: A. John 16:15-22 - Jesus encouraged His disciples to have full of JOY! 1. "After a short time you won't see me. Then after another short time you will see me again." 2. Jesus was speaking about His death and resurrection. 3. They were sad but the world were rejoice, then later they will REJOICE but the world will be unhappy and hatre. 4. Jesus uses an illustration about the woman gave birth a child 5. No one will take away your JOY! b. John 16:23-24 - Jesus teaches us how to pray direct to the Father in Jesus' Name. 1. "In that day you will not have to ask me about anything. And I assure you, my Father will give you anything you ask him for in my name. 2. You have never asked for anything in this way before. But ask in my name, and you will receive. And you will have the fullest joy possible. Victory Over the World: 3. What a JOY that we can pray DIRECT to our dear Father by using Jesus Christ's Name! glory be to God forever!! Amen!! 4. Jesus promises us that we could have a personal relationship with our Father through His Name. C. John 16: 25-33 - Jesus continued to encourage. 1. :The Father himself loves you because you have loved me. And he loves you because you have believed that I came from God. : 2. :Then his followers said, "You are already speaking plainly to us. You are not using words that hide the meaning. We can see now that you know all things. You answer our questions even before we ask them. This makes us believe that you came from God." Jesus said, "So now you believe? : 3. "I have told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have troubles. But be brave! I have defeated the world!" Praise the Lord!! Janurary 3, 2021 The Book of John Chapter 16 - Part 1 "The Reprove of the Holy Spirit"... John 16:8-12 Biblical Truths: A. John 16:1-7 - Jesus encouraged His disciples. 1. Jesus explained what would happen after He leaves but the disciples did not understand 2. Jesus has to die, so we can have salvation 3. Jesus has to defeat His death, so we can have resurrection. 4. He has to return to His Father in heaven, so that the Holy Spirit could come to us. 5. Everyone who believes in Him would know Him personal by the means of the Holy Spirit. B. John 16:8-15 - The Holy Spirit (Helper) would reprove three important matters. 1. "When the Helper comes, he will show the people of the world how wrong they are about sin, about being right with God, and about judgment. 2. He will prove that they are guilty of sin, because they don't believe in me. aa. John 3:16-18 3. He will show them how wrong they are about how to be right with God. The Helper will do this, because I am going to the Father. You will not see me then. aa. Matthew 5:20 4. And he will show them how wrong their judgment is, because their leader (satan, prince of the world), has already been condemned. aa. Not the White Throne Judgment or the Judgment Seat of Christ but the prince of the world is judged. bb. Satan was defeated by Jesus'death on the cross and resurrected. cc. Colossians 1:13 5. "I have so much more to tell you, but it is too much for you to accept now. But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future. 6. The Spirit of truth will bring glory to me by telling you what he receives from me. 15 All that the Father has is mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will tell you what he receives from me.
