We're proud to support the Agricultural Retailers Association!
With fires ravaging ravaging much of the west coast and especially in our local "backyard" we are thankful for community and our owners that step up to take care of those around us. Thank you GAR Bennett for this wonderful act of kindness. To all of you stepping up to help others, thank you! The world needs more of it! #CreekFire #garbennett #MJDOA... #IAP See more

GOOD NEWS: After the recent Shut Down & Fed Up rally, farmers in the Klamath Basin will be given back this year’s 140,000-acre foot water April allocation tha...t was suddenly cut nearly in half by the Bureau of Reclamation in May. While this is still only 40% of their legal water right from Upper Klamath Lake, it will help to get them through the remainder of the growing season with the crops they currently have in the ground. I was pleased to partner with my colleague from Oregon, Congressman Greg Walden, in this fight to restore water to our farmers on both sides of the border. A big thank you to the Trump Administration for acting quickly to prioritize agriculture and overrule the bureaucracies that created this unneeded crisis. The water in the Klamath Project needs to remain where it belongs: with the Basin farmers who hold the water right and rely on it for their economic survival. See more

IAP Owner, McGregor Company sent us this wonderful community news. Thank you Leslie! We truly love seeing how generous IAP Owners are! McGregor Co. employee, Chris Hille has put our 3D printer to work making face shields for our rural hospital. https://www.wcgazette.com//16/n/combined-effort/32323.html Additionally, many of our branches are ordering take-out from their local restaurants. In fact, the Main Office (with about 30 employees) places an order each Thursday fr...om a local establishment. There aren’t a lot of them in Colfax WA but they mean a lot to our community! My colleagues truly impress meI’m proud to work with all of them! -Leslie Leslie Druffel Outreach Coordinator The McGregor Company
Marion Ag Service's customer, Oregon Flowers, had 80% of their cut flower orders cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, since there were no parties, receptions, church services, etc. taking place. Oregon Flower was cutting flowers and those they could not donate to the community, they were having to throw them out. Marion Ag Service Owner Bob Hockett, jumped in to help Oregon Flowers out by purchasing 125 bunches of Easter Lilies to give a bunch to each of the Marion Ag Service Employees on Easter weekend along with a ham and other food items basket. What a great way to help local business AND show appreciation to hardworking employees. We love seeing the great things our IAP Owners are doing in their community!
IAP Owner, Tom and Sue Hunton of SureCrop Farm Services also owns a local flour mill. They dropped off donated flour last Saturday at Lighthouse Bakery, in Umpqua, Oregon. The bakery is closed but their staff is volunteering to bake bread with the donated flour for their local food bank and homeless shelters. The Hunton’s also donated lentils, beans and flaked grains for cereals and granola bars that the bakery is producing for those folks from our crops. What a great way to support their local community. Thank you Tom and Sue!
IAP President, Jim Fargo and his wife Char helped their church fill a truck with food and essentials for a women’s home in a neighboring community. Gayle Vaughn’s husband, Charles sewed over 30 cloth masks for coworkers at the 144FW Air National Guard base. Gayle is IAP Coordinator of Owner Services. No matter how big or small the action, positives are coming out of the COVID 19 crisis. Share with us via message or comment below your positives. Maybe it’s just reconnectin...g with your family through nightly dinners, maybe it’s by helping others with their shopping needs or serving at a food bank. Whatever it is we’d like to hear from you! The Agricultual industry is in this together. The world is in this together. #shareyourpositive #MJDOA #IAP #COVID19 #agfeedstheworld
Thank you to all those folks out there who are keeping food on our tables. Please know you are appreciated. Stay safe out there!!
Congratulations and THANK YOU to our very own Steve Spangler for his 18 years of service award for serving as member on the Fertilzer Inspection Advisory Board of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Steve is a valued asset in the ag industry! #MJDOA, #IAP
