However, it’s the static images of a sprawling mansion on rolling green hills that captivates the audience with a mixture of wonder and fear. Adolf Franz Karl Viktor Maria Loos was an Austrian and Czechoslovak architect and influential European theorist of modern architecture. His essay Ornament and Crime advocated smooth and clear surfaces in contrast to the lavish decorations of the fin de siècle, as well as the more modern aesthetic principles of the #Vienna Secession, exemplified in his design of Looshaus, Vienna. #adolfloos #MichaelGraves was a noted American architect and designer from #Indiana. He was a designer of consumer products, interiors, and many buildings. As well as principal of Michael Graves and Associates and Michael #GravesDesignGroup, he was of a member of The New York Five and the #MemphisGroup and professor of architecture at #PrincetonUniversity for nearly forty years.

I understand why it was done, but PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!! The virtual staging is fresh, but it is not a great idea to paint out all of that millwork in the formal living room. It is a BAD idea. There are so many ways to lighten up these spaces to achieve this fresh look without destroying the integrity of the building. We need to respect these spaces. The rest of the house, paint away.
