Hyperion Solar Energy would like to say a few words to its employees and contractors regarding the current situation. As the number of cases of the Corona virus pandemic begin to fall and the protests of racial inequality rise, Hyperion would like to convey its support of the movement that is sweeping across America. We support the overwhelming urge for people of all races to march in solidarity to make their voices heard against the injustices that exist today for Black Amer...icans. We applaud you who work with Hyperion Solar Energy to change the way the world is powered. Current events are also changing the way people of this world communicate, socialize, and earn a living. Now, it’s time to change the way the world powers treat their citizens of color. This is an unprecedented time in our lives, equaled only by the civil rights movement of our parents’ generation. And theirs was not the first such struggle, for America was founded in rebellious times like these. On the final day of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a crowd waited outside on the steps of Independence Hall to hear what form of government had been crafted for them in America. A woman named Elizabeth Powel asked Benjamin Franklin, What do we have, a republic or a monarchy? Franklin replied, A republic, if you can keep it. It’s every American’s duty to preserve our republic and the freedoms it provides. We believe that all lives matter, but if the rights of one race can be trampled, then the rights of all can be trampled. We need to secure not only our rights for today, but also the rights of future generations. In support of the movement that is growing daily Hyperion is donating $1,500 to the Black Lives Matter Foundation. There will always be ups and downs in every industry at different times in history, but those of you who are still working with Hyperion and those now joining us are the resilient ones. At Hyperion Solar Energy Office in Pasadena we have a costume contest on Halloween Day. This is the funnest day of the year in the office!
