Oroville Fire destroys Daly Family cattle and ranch lands. A sad and heartbreaking write up from the Daly family, impacted by the Oroville fire. Those of you who are members of the Cattlemen's Association will personally know the Daly family. There are many ranching families tragically impacted by our Wildfires. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

To all our Junior Livestock participants this year a big congratulations in completing your projects. Our Association was happy to be able to provide support to all the Beef Projects. In lieu of any thank you gifts please consider donating to evacuees or checking with Fairgrounds in Ferndale about food and treat drop offs.

How can you support the 2020 Virtual Jr Livestock Auction? Purchase of a lot: Put high quality meat in your freezer to enjoy! Some are into sharing and split th...e purchase with a friend, gift to employees, or donate. Add-on bids: donation of money that will go towards the final check to support a specific exhibitor. Bids for Kids: *new this year!* donation of money that will be split among all the exhibitors selling in the Junior Livestock Auction. A fun bonus opportunity for those who want to support the Junior Livestock program rather than one specific exhibitor. All of these options will be available thru our online sale August 28-30th. Although this year’s auction is non-traditional, we look forward to making it a great one!

Fall Tour this year will be Cancelled. We are sorry to announce after our July Board meeting, due to Covid 19 our Humboldt Del-Norte Cattlemen's Fall tour for Sept. 13 2020 has been canceled. Scholarship time is here! HDNCA/HCCW have 2 scholarships. One for seniors in HS who are pursuing an agricultural degree and attending a JC or 4 yr college in the fall. The other is for a local student who either planning to or currently enrolled in a vocational program (plumbing, lineman ect.)
