We were so thrilled to have our first Girl Scout troop join us at SMARTS Farm at the orchard. These Girl Scouts are full of curiosity and creativity. We loved exploring the garden and planting with troop 3915.
It’s Fall ya’ll and we’re ready to craft the perfect pumpkin centerpieces with you and your family at SMARTS Farm on October 11th. Using an array of succulents, we’ll assemble an easy to maintain showstopper to display at home. We hope you can join in the spirit of the season. https://humanesmarts.org//succulent-topped-pumpkin-class-/
Lovely photos taken by Ms. Tiffany this afternoon while she was working at The Orchard.
It was a beautiful evening last night for a Birthday celebration. So special Izzi wanted to celebrate her 12th Birthday at SMARTS Farm at The Orchard. Evening was filled with sweet girl fun, gardening, painting, pickling, and making pizzas.
Another Summer Camp wrapped up with great fun, digging in the soil, farm-fresh culinary classes, direct from the farm crafts, triple cool visit of our girls and 2-week old goats for campers to learn about, and much more.. Huge shoutout to the fabulous experts who joined us this week to help bring good ol’ farm, fresh, culinary, fun to our campers. Chef Christina Ng, thank you for joining us for two days of culinary magic (The Chicken and the Egg + Chili Cookoff + Fabulous ...Flatbread pizzas). Farmer Jack Ford, today’s celebration was awesome. Campers made farm-fresh goat’s milk ricotta cheese & flatbread pizzas at The Orchard with you! Pizzas were chock-full of fresh locally grown produce from Dassi Family Farm, Sadie Rose Baking Company delightful flatbread, sourced olive oil from Temecula Olive Oil Company, Venissimo Cheese, and oodles of lifetime cooking fun. Very special thanks to Gardener, Researcher, and Artist Sindana for joining us for photography and painting in the garden.

We are having a ball with our summer camp kiddos.
Heartwarming video shared with us from Farmer Frank. (Uncle to our SMARTS Farm Girls) Dated: Friday, June 14th. The East Village Girls, Red Velvet and Salt & Pepper, took one last grub dig in their favorite SMARTS Farm planter at 13th and Broadway before they moved to their new home in north county. Stay tuned as their story continues on at their new home.
