Ramadhan Kareem to the Faithful All praise belongs to Allah and Salawat be upon the the Messenger of Allah and his holy progeny. The 2017-2018 year has been a year of great challenges and successes for the Imam Ali Seminary.... Until now 22 students have graduated from the seminary and 17 students have gone for further education in Najaf and Qom. We are proud to say that no other institution of higher Islamic learning in the western hemisphere has had such success. We thank Allah and all the faithful who have supported this mission. We have been involved in renovation of our new location this past year and have spent $27,000.00 until now. The renovation was necessary for the housing of students. Due to the renovation, the housing was not available for students and hence we were not having on site classes this past year. However, the classes were being held online. Inshallah, we are aiming to begin the new class with a capacity for 10 students for the academic year 2018-2019 in September 2018. In order to complete the renovation and begin the classes, we are in need of funds for the following items that are necessary: Central Heating and Air conditioning Unit Natural Gas line Carpeting Kitchen Appliances The final bill will be around $42,000.00. In this very holy month of Ramadhan, we ask all of you to please donate towards this cause. The need of producing local home grown scholars does not need any explanation. We know it and we all can feel the lack of it. So we ask you for the sake of our future and the future of our children to give your donation to the Imam Ali seminary. A graduate student of IAS brought his textbook from Najaf on Aqaid (Islamic Beliefs) by Allamah Hilli (ra). The book is called Al-Babu Hadi Al-Ashar. These are pictures of the original text.
