We are not professionals or perfect, but we are singing and dancing Slovak and Czech Christmas carols with Love and from our heart. We wish to bring spirit and joy to your Christmas season, during these challenging times. It is amazing for me to see, that all of our Podkovika children were born in the USA, but they love their families Czech and Slovak roots, and they are singing and speaking almost like SR/R natives;o) Thank you especially to Anka, who puts so much of... her free time to teach kids (and adults members also) SR/R traditions, songs and dances. She is so much appreciated and admired by many. Also big thank you to Norika for opening her lovely home, all of the Karika and Podkovika members and Mr. Josef Šedivec! From San Diego, we are wishing Blessed, Peaceful and Magical Christmas to SVU-LA members, families, friends and supporters of Czech and Slovak Republics. House of Czech and Slovak Republics in Balboa Park (San Diego) has brand new Prague (Karl's Bridge) mural inside, painted by talented Slovak artist Stefan Talian. He was working on the mural for about 3 weeks, and his final brush touch was done on Thursday, July 30, 2020. It is so beautiful and breathtaking! We still cannot open to the public yet, due to Covid 19 restrictions, but at least for now, you can enjoy it on video. https://www.youtube.com/watch

Dalším Srdcaem je Josef Suchár. Ten spolen s páteli navrátil život do Neratova. V roce 1992 založili Sdružení Neratov. Opravili nejenom kostel Nanebevzetí P...anny Marie v Neratov, kterému dali symbolickou prosklenou stechu, ale založili také chránné dílny Kopeek a speciální ZŠ v Bartošovicích v Orlických horách. Sdružení Neratov tak dává práci 250 lidem se zdravotním postižením. See more
