SO THE KING GAVE THE ORDER, AND THEY BROUGHT DANIEL AND THREW HIM INTO THE LION'S DEN. DANIEL 6:16 *The Aramaic word for "DEN" means pit, thus implying that it was underground. There are times that we may feel just like poor Daniel did when he was thrown into the lion's den. However, just like Daniel our faith will come to our rescue as well!... After all; HE WHO DWELLS IN THE SHELTER OF THE MOST HIGH WILL REST IN THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY. I WILL SAY OF THE LORD, HE IS MY REFUGE AND MY FORTRESS, MY GOD IN WHOM I TRUST. ( PSALM 91:1-2 ) Further God has said; "FEAR NOT, FOR I HAVE REDEEMED YOU; I HAVE CALLED YOU BY NAME; YOU ARE MINE." ( ISAIAH 43:1-2 ) God has also stated; "DO NOT FEAR, FOR I AM WITH YOU; DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU AND HELP YOU; I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND." ( ISAIAH 41:10 ) Therefore; "CALL UPON ME IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE; I WILL DELIVER YOU, AND YOU WILL HONOR ME." ( PSALM 50:15 ) So when you feel like Daniel always; TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT. ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; SEEK, AND YOU WILL FIND; KNOCK, AND IT WILL BE OPENED TO YOU. LUKE 11:9-10 Those are the words of our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus also said, "IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, YOU WILL ASK WHAT YOU DESIRE, AND IT SHALL BE DONE FOR YOU." JOHN 15:7 Now these verses do not mean that everything we may ask for will be given to us, but do mean that if it is God's Will for us it will happen! After all we may ask for somethi...ng that would hurt us in the end, for we have no way of knowing the future. So when you pray do not be afraid to ask God for something that you desire, knowing that He who knows all is looking out for you. For God has said; THEN YOU WILL CALL UPON ME AND COME AND PRAY TO ME,AND I WILL LISTEN TO YOU. YOU WILL SEEK ME AND FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART. ( JEREMIAH 29:12-13 ) Also do not think that God has abandoned you if a prayer isn't answered. After all, in time, you may look back on that prayer request and say "Thank God, He Didn't Answer That One!" Therefore never lose hope when you pray for it is written, THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH. As Children of God we are not to judge each other, but to love each other and forgive each other just as our Heavenly Father has forgiven us. For anger often turns to vengeance, and remember God said; VENGEANCE IS MINE; I WILL REPAY, SAYS THE LORD. THE SPIRIT HIMSELF BEARS WITNESS WITH OUR SPIRIT THAT WE ARE CHILDREN OF GOD. ROMANS 8:16 Indeed we are God's Children for; GOD SENT FORTH HIS SON, BORN OF A WOMAN, BORN UNDER THE LAW, TO REDEEM THOSE WHO WERE UNDER THE LAW, THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE ADOPTION AS SONS. AND BECAUSE YOU ARE SONS, GOD HAS SENT FORTH THE SPIRIT OF HIS SON INTO OUR HEARTS. ( GALATIANS 4:4-6 )... The Apostle Paul used adoption or "sonship" to illustrate to us, the believer's new relationship with God. For when a person becomes a Christian, he or she gains all the privileges and responsibilities of a Child in God's family. One of these privileges is being lead by the Spirit. Now we may not always feel as though we belong to God, but the Holy Spirit is our witness! For His inward presence reminds us of who we are and encourages us with God's love. For it is written; NOW HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT, BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WAS GIVEN TO US. After all it isn't easy trying to live a righteous life in this World, and never was. Even the Apostle Paul complained "I HAVE THE DESIRE TO DO WHAT IS GOOD, BUT I CANNOT CARRY IT OUT. FOR WHAT I DO IS NOT THE GOOD I WANT TO DO; NO, THE EVIL I DO NOT WANT TO DO--THIS I KEEP ON DOING." ROMANS 7:18-19 So as part of your morning prayer each day, why not ask God to lead you? DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN. MATTHEW 6:34 Now I ask you, WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD A SINGLE HOUR TO HIS LIFE? ( MATTHEW 6:27 ) In fact, some studies even show that worry may actually shorten our life!... Therefore instead of worrying; CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU. 1 PETER 5:7 and then; WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE AFRAID; WHEN YOU LIE DOWN YOUR SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. ( PROVERBS 3:24 ) After all what is worry anyway, but the opposite of faith! So have faith and always turn your worries over to God! Then you will be able to say with confidence: "Why Worry About Tomorrow?" Why worry about tomorrow And the rising of the sun, Of anguish over past mistakes That cannot be undone? Why waste life's precious moments On things that bruise the heart When today is ours to fashion Into a work of art? GOD WILL KEEP HIS COVENANT OF LOVE WITH YOU. HE WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU. DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13 Sadly, as you know this World is filled with people who feel unloved, and will do almost anything to find it. What a shame it is that they do not know God, for it is written: GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. ( 1 JOHN 4:16 ) After all, whether they know it or not, everyone is surrounded by God's Great Love for it is like the oxygen we b...reathe; there is plenty of it for each of us, and still so very many are starving for it! Why not reach out to another today, and share a little of God's love with them. After all Jesus said: "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." ( MATTHEW 19:19 ) and He also said, "THIS IS MY COMMAND: LOVE EACH OTHER." ( JOHN 15:17 ) After all sharing God's Love is as simple to do as saying thank you to a store clerk, or just smiling at another and saying "How are you today!" Little acts of kindness like these go along way towards brightening up another's day, and by doing such things it brightens our day as well! THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE; WE WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT. PSALM 118:24 We all have days when the last thing we want to do is rejoice. Days when our situation is out of control, our mood is low, and we are feeling overwhelmed with guilt, grief, or troubles of another kind.... Therefore when you feel that way why not tell God just how you feel. Ask Him to help you regain your joy again, and know in your heart that He will help you. For we have this promise from God, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU. SO WE MAY BOLDLY SAY: THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR; WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME? ( HEBREWS 13:5 ) Further the Bible also tells us that our suffering many of these things is part of our experience as a Christian. So REJOICE TO THE EXTENT THAT YOU PARTAKE OF CHRIST'S SUFFERINGS,THAT WHEN HIS GLORY IS REVEALED, YOU MAY ALSO BE GLAD WITH EXCEEDING JOY. LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE YOUR HEARTS, SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY YOU WERE CALLED TO PEACE. AND BE THANKFUL. COLOSSIANS 3:15 In this world today it is hard for many to find any peace at all! Perhaps it was that way for you before you accepted Jesus Christ. BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS YOU WHO ONCE WERE FAR AWAY HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR THROUGH THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. ( EPHESIANS 2:13 ) And through our relationship with Jesus Christ we have peace because HE HIMSELF IS OUR... PEACE. ( EPHESIANS 2:14 ) Therefore always have faith in God knowing that He is in control of everything, and will help His Children through any difficulty. After all the opposite of faith is worry, and it is written; DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. Indeed, let the Earth rejoice for time is unfolding just as it was written! So do not be stressed about today or the future, for you are God's Child and He will always be with you!
