On Friday April 14th, Isaac James (Sophomore) stepped up to educate the Palmdale High School population on a serious issue. Suicide is a serious issue in today's society. Isaac along with the Palmdale Health Careers Academy Club, Mr. Klein, Mrs. Santana, Mrs. Calzada, and so many more brought this serious issue to the eyes of many. In January, Isaac lost a friend due to suicide. Because of that he wanted to help others by telling this story in hope of preventing suicide and m...otivating others to help others contemplating suicide. Isaac James is truly an inspirational person to have taken on a project with this level of seriousness. On behalf of the Palmdale HOSA chapter I would like to thank Isaac James for his dedication with completing a major project such as this. I want to also put out that Isaac is a sophomore and was not doing this project for a grade. Isaac did this for the sole purpose of helping others! Thank you Isaac James! See more

With the 2017 Cal-HOSA SLC over, this marks the end of a journey for our seniors. For our medalists it's just one step climbed, the next step is the 2017 HOSA ILC in Orlando, Florida! Palmdale HOSA will be going to Orlando in June representing the state of California in the following events: CPR/First Aid, EMT, Medical Assisting, and Community Awareness!
