Ezak Marquez, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor From Ezak: My name is Ezak and my pronouns are they, them, theirs. I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor supervised by Kiley Lizama, LMFT 96218 at HOPE Therapy Group. I utilize a person-centered and strengths-based approach and I have been trained through a multicultural and trauma-informed lens. I work with adole...scents and adults wanting to make a change in their life and I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their goals. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ community with a focus on transgender and nonbinary folks to address a variety of issues including gender dysphoria, identity exploration, anxiety, and depression. I utilize a social justice and intersectional framework in acknowledging the systemic oppression affecting BIPOC communities and its impact on mental health. I am passionate about helping others find a healing path where these challenges can be utilized to harvest beautiful strengths and growth for a more meaning...ful journey. Through providing a safe and supportive space I am dedicated to getting to know each person’s story with compassion and respect, and working collaboratively towards the achievement of personal and collective goals of individuals, couples and families. I am trained in systemic therapy, have experience working with individuals and families in the juvenile justice system, immigrant and veteran communities, as well as with those facing challenges ranging from complex trauma to life transition difficulties.
