INFORMATION ON CURFEW Earlier in the week, based on concerns about potential looting and rioting, the Town of Danville declared a State of Emergency and established a curfew. That curfew expired this morning at 5am. However, that now leaves the Town still under the effect of the county-wide curfew enacted by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. The parameters of the county curfew are the same, 8:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. A copy of the curfew order is attached. We have received questions regarding people who have to leave to/come home from work during those curfew hours. Below is the verbiage from the curfew order explaining the exceptions to the order: This Order shall not apply to peace officers, firefighters, and National Guard deployed to the area, individuals traveling to and from work, people experiencing homelessness and without access to a viable shelter, and individuals seeking medical treatment. We are in communication with the county and when we have information on the end date for the curfew we will provide an update.

DANVILLE CURFEW EXTENDED TO JUNE 4 Due to the looting and violence occurring in the Bay Area and the potential for such activity here, the Town of Danville has ...declared a State of Emergency due to Civil Unrest. Under that State of Emergency, Police have instituted a mandatory curfew from June 1, 2020 June 4, 2020. Hours of the curfew will be 8:00 p.m. 5:00 a.m. Residents are asked to remain home during the hours of the curfew. Additional police personnel have been activated and are maintaining patrols throughout Town. We are aware of the threats that have been made on social media. We ask residents to only use 911 for reporting of emergencies.

Additional police personnel have been activated and are maintaining patrols throughout Town. We are aware of the threats that have been made on social media. ORGANIZER CANCELS JUNE 2 PROTEST We received this information earlier this evening from one of the organizers of the Tuesday June 2 Protest. Due to the threats of violence that have become attached to the event, they have chosen to cancel it in favor of another date.
