Homegrown Challah Weekends only! Soft & Buttery (makes amazing French Toast) Apple Strudel Pretty much every day! Flaky & yummy.

Dear Friends & Fans Well, I'm pretty happy with the results of Homegrown's first ever Bacon Maple Bagel. C'mon in and give it a try. Today (Saturday) is the inaugural day of our latest ( soon to be famous? ) Bagel. So far the response has been very good, we'd love your opinion. We also have Fresh Challah and Apple Strudel today. If you haven't tried them yet ...... you ( in my humble opinion ) should!

Dear Friends & Fans Tomorrow (Saturday the 6th of March) will be a historic day at Homegrown Bagels. We will be baking the "Worlds First" Bacon Maple Bagel! Or should we call it Maple Bacon Bagel ? BMB or MBB? (Your input will help decide which is the better title) Yes you read that right real BACON. & real MAPLE SYRUP in our real Homegrown Bagels! I've been thinking about this for years and now the time has finally come! Last night Tony mixed a batch and we will bake the fi...rst ever BMB/MBB Saturday morning. Just imagine, a Bacon Maple Bagel toasted with lots of butter melting in, or a BLT on a Bacon Maple Bagel, or a Bacon Maple Bagel with Cream Cheese. or maybe a Bacon & Egg with Cheese on a Bacon Maple Bagel, What about a Lox Special?? or anything you can think of on a Bacon Maple Bagel! I bet a PBJ on a BMB will be amazing! You can tell I can't seem to stop saying Bacon Maple Bagel ( which ism a bit of a tongue twister and not really easy to say, maybe that is a reason to call it a Maple Bacon Bagel instead? ) Now, to be totally honest, at the time of this writing this I haven't actually tasted our newest Homegrown Bagel Experiment. But, my mouth is watering as I write this, and I have faith that 5 pounds of Bacon and a liter of pure Maple Syrup mixed into our already great bagel can only be amazing. We will decide this together tomorrow. Only YOU cant determine if this will become part of Homegrown's Legacy or not! As far as I know, this will be unique in all the world to Sonoma's Own Homegrown Bagels! As I said this is the first version, but I have faith ( I am faithful ). We will be sampling them as long as they last. I'm guessing they will go fast, but... who knows? If they are successful, there will be a up-charge for this bagel in the future, but not this weekend. Bacon is expensive and real Maple Syrup ( I refuse to use maple flavored syrup) is as you know is really costly as well. But I'm hoping that the outcome will be worth the extra expense . Time, Taste and You will tell the tale of the World's First Homegrown BaconMapleBagel or is it MapleBaconBagel? Either way it's gonna be interesting. See you at the Bakery this weekend. Good morning Sonoma, It's Saturday the 28th and just a quick note today. We have fresh hot Challah, and Strudel coming out of the oven now. Today is Thanksgiving Day. One of the four days a year that we are closed. I'd like to give my thanks to all of you ( you know who you are ) All of our friends, fans and "regulars" over the past 42 ( and still counting! ) years . You keep us going. I thank my crew, the Hole Gang for making it possible to be a part of Sonoma for so long. And now in these especially difficult times, I'm thankful that you are still supporting us. ... Hello Sonoma! It's Monday the 28th and it's hard to believe we are "here" again. Our "world" is on fire....again. Oddly enough it's also the "Day of Atonement" ( go figure.... mysterious ways and all that.) First of all I want to publicly thank the Homegrown Bagles "Hole Gang" for one again being here and doing what we do. We are open and serving Sonoma and will continue to do so as long as it is humanly possible. During these crisis times we at Homegrown Bagels offer to fee...d our fire fighters and fist line responders and anyone who has been displaced and is in need of a bite to eat. Just let us know when you get here and there will be no charge for your meal. We all appreciate what you do and are ever grateful . I feel like the Hole Gang here at Homegrown Bagels are front line workers too. Be careful, take care of yourselves and each other. Stay safe & healthy. Good morning Sonoma Today is Saturday the 12th ( I think ) Do you know what Challah is? Well, We have developed a Challah recipe that I think is pretty pretty pretty good. We are making loaves and..........what may very well be the first and only ChallahBagel.. and believe me it's "One Chllahofabagel" We have made a few today and If you come on down to the bakery and ask.. I'd be glad to give you one and ask for your opinion after you try it. We have six Loaves and a dozen ...or so little challahbagels. Gonna bake some more tomorrow too. Good morning Sonoma. Today is Sept 5 and in the "old" world the "Man" would burn today. So it is with the spirit of Burning Man, that Homegrown Bagels is Gifting Pizza today.
