Wednesday’s at the Y! This cutie is Luciano and he came today to get pet food from @foundanimals. Home Dog LA and @barkavenuefoundation are getting him neutered and vaccinated at @northcentralshelter. Luciano was found on the streets of Boyle Heights and is now loved and taken care of. This beautiful kitten, Zoe, was having breathing issues because of an upper respiratory infection. She is a well loved cat who goes to the park on leash with three dogs and was taken in as a stray. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, her owner is currently out of work and needed some financial support to bring Zoe to the vet. Our counselor, Carolina, wrote a voucher to help with the cost of a visit to @northfigueroaanimalhospital and now Zoe is feeling better. Thanks to amazing counselors like Lana we are able to help our community of pet owners in north east Los Angeles. Help more pets like Rex by donating today. I am so proud and honored to be a part of Home Dog L.A. since 2014. We have helped keep over 4,000 and counting pets with the families that love them. During Covid, we have seen such an increase in help needed due to even more financial constraints then normal. Our veterinary costs are high but we do anything we can to h...elp people in need. Giving back and helping people and their furry family members is such important work and I would drop anything to help those in need. This is an email I received this week from one of our clients: "Hello Lana, I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart, what you did for my kids and I leaves me without words. I can’t explain to you how thankful we are to you. Your help was greatly appreciated. Our pet means the world to us especially to my kids. Our dog Rex Is doing much better his foot looks great, he's even walking . Thank you again and god bless you". To know that we touched someones life in this way means everything. Our counselor @nolascaro has been dropping food and supplies off to a sweet senior couple who have no transportation and two poodles. This is one of them resting in a donated dog bed. Both dogs are in need of a groom and we will be organizing a mobile groomer to come to their home in Monterey Hills. FREE grooming for pets in communities of need! We absolutely love the @puprelieftour and their mission. If you know anyone experiencing financial hardship whose pup could use a groom please email them to make an appointment. They will be at @bluepoochsalon on August 12th and 13th. The Pandemic Pup Relief Tour is a nationwide initiative to help pups and pet owners who are experiencing hardships during these difficult times. Embarking on a 6-city road trip, the tour will host a 2-day pop-up event, offering free grooming and salon services to pups in need.
