Hello Holistic Hound family! In case you weren’t aware of the transition that took place last winter, we’d like to start off by introducing ourselves: we’re Healthy Spot! Heidi, the original owner of the Berkeley store, chose us as her successor so she could focus solely on her growing CBD supplement business. These last 7 months have been off to a great start and we’re excited to continue to serve the Holistic Hound family! Healthy Spot was founded in 2008 by Andrew Kim and ...Mark Boonnark in response to the 2007 pet food recalls. Andrew had recently adopted his pup Maya and was looking for a safe food option for her, but finding it hard to decipher between brands. Mark had lost his pup Biscuit to cancer even though he fed him big brand foods his whole life. Determined to create a better way to select the right pet food, the pair started Healthy Spot to help other pet parents find the highest quality products and services without the need to do hours of research. Berkeley holds a special place in Andrew and Mark's hearts as it was home for many years while they attended Cal, and they are excited to once again be part of the Berkeley community, this time with Healthy Spot's mission of inspiring healthy pet lifestyles.
