We ended 2020 on a high note. Last month, we were thrilled to connect with the Hoehn Family of the North when Marcus Hoehn of Calgary, Alberta, Canada reach out to us with this story: For some back story.... Hoehn is not a common name, so when I heard of Hoehn Motors several years ago, I asked my Dad if there was a chance we could be related.My father moved to Canada from Germany in 1957 and knew of other Hoehn's who moved to the NE USA, but no one to California. Related... or not, I definitely wanted to visit. One of our family plans was an RV trip down the Pacific coast to California. If we made it that far, we'd pop into a Hoehn dealership to say hello to buy a souvenir.Needless to say, 2020 was not a year to do that, so that plan was put on hold.We have been fortunate to maintain our health and employment, but the changes to daily life and school have been difficult. I really wanted to make Christmas a bit more special, especially since we would not be able to have family visit this year. I wanted to find a gift that was unique and no one else would have, or appreciate like our family. That’s why I contacted Hoehn Motors. It was our pleasure to send Marcus and his family some gear for a truly Happy Hoehn Holiday. To my surprise, you not only replied, but sent me an amazing package at no expense to share with my family. All of this and you don’t even know me. This is what is so special. You really showed me that there are still good people in this world. The T-Shirts and water bottles are great, but the story that comes with it is priceless. I have told many of my friends and family and they all were as moved as I was when I opened the box. Thank you so much for your generous gift to our family. We love the shirts and will be putting Hoehn stickers on the cars when it warms up a bit. (We had a massive snow dump just before Christmas and have enjoyed sledding and cross-country skiing out our front door). This week it was our honor to donate this 2020 Honda Odyssey to the Salvation Army’s Door of Hope. The Door of Hope helps families in need get back on their feet by providing them with the necessary resources to find employment, permanent housing, and a bright future for their entire family.
