So good that, I kid you not, as soon as I tasted it, I thought that I'd been somehow remiss in not letting the people that run the place know just how life-enriching their food is. Good morning, Hoagy fans! We're usually pretty modest, preferring to let our food do the talking. But today, we're going to break form and share some of our lesser-known but true accolades with you good people. So here are some fun facts and stats about your favorite neighborhood hole in the wall! 1) We are The Official Cheesesteak of Delicious. 2) Hoagy Steak has been voted "best cheesesteak" for 19 years running, by "the people who know that Hoagy Steak is the best cheeses...teak". 3) Grace has been voted "most Chinese lady" by approximately 70% of our loyal customers, despite the fact that she is Korean. 4) If "yummy" were people, Hoagy Steak would be China. 5) We go through enough steak, chicken, and fries in one day to feed approximately the number of customers we see in one day. Beef prices have been trending upwards for a long time now, and the ones that always feel the squeeze are the ranchers and the smaller mom-and-pop shops like Hoagy Steak. It's a tough situation. :( On a related note...our fresh grilled chicken hoagies are THE BOMB. Put some red-hot Sriracha on top and you've got an amazing feast. :)
