Check out LAPL's online exhibit: Life on a String: the Yale Puppeteers and the Turnabout Theater. The Turnabout Theater in Hollywood hosted some of the greatest puppet shows in world. It has been closed for sometime but, fortunately, it lives on through this exhibit.

August 18 @ Noon: To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which gave women in the United States the right to vote and to recognize the contributions of Mary Foy, a plaque has been installed in the Central Library rotunda. Join historian Victoria Bernal as she gives us an introduction to Mary Foy and some of the other women who championed suffrage in Los Angeles.
