#shabbatshalom, this week is the Days of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust. Originally decreed by House Resolution 1014 in 1979, this National period of observance is intended to coincide with the American-led liberation of Dachau and its satellite camps. It is important for the benefit of future generations to contemplate the way our use of language contributes to hate, and foster a more inviting and inclusive society.

Today is the official #dayofremembrance of the Halocaust. Many of us have family members who are #survivors, and many of us know survivors and the children of survivors. We encourage you to share stories and reflect on the impact of #genocide and #intergenerationaltrauma on us as individuals and as members of society as a whole. With rising #Antisemitism, there is a great need to understand how such atrocities can come about. We can and must combat #hate and stop ourselves from repeating the past.

#shabbatshalom April is National Poetry Month, so in the interest of #inclusivity, we wanted to #highlight some #jewishwomen whose poetry serves as a #meditation about the nature of #identity.

Chag #pesach Sameach! While it may be #difficult to #relate to the #passover story, given the vast #privilege so many of us enjoy in our daily lives, we don't have to perfectly #understand the #suffering of our ancestors to #honor their struggles. Each of us has a #narrowplace of our own that we have had to #endure, and our #Perseverance in those hard times is our connection to our past.

#shabbatshalom As we #prepare for the #passover celebrations, let us reflect on the first passover and the great miracles that accompanied it as the #Jews escaped from Egypt.

In addition to the Al Jolson memorial that forms our logo, he also designed our main mausoleum.
