Another one of our Blossom Hill Manor room addition and whole home remodel projects is complete. Thank you to my hard working, extremely skilled team for making this project come together. The pandemic has brought on many challenges, but we still came through with flying colors!

Our custom home Blossom Hill Manor project is complete.

This is our second room addition project on this increadibly stout pergola. The structure is a combination of steel posts with top-of-the-line redwood framing materials. It’s covered with a color coated corrugated material, so it’s waterproof, making it useable all season long.

Our Blossom Hill Manor project is ready for rough inspection tomorrow. We’re making great progress!

Our Los Gatos custom home is turning out really nice. There’s a lot of really clean trim work details to give it that extra pizzazz.

Our Los Gatos custom home is eagerly awaiting our return! We’re looking forward to getting this project started on the finishing stages. Once we pass our drywall nail inspection and texture the drywall, we can move on to cabinets, tile, and trim work.

Our latest project in Los Gatos. Nothing pretty to look at, just yet. I wanted to get some early photos posted, before we really get going. This is a major home renovation project, with first and second floor room additions. It’s basically a new custom home where we keep the foundation, subfloor, and a few key first floor walls. Stay tuned for the progress once things get back to normal.

Los Gatos custom home build is complete. I had a FaceTime final inspection last week and we passed! (Was I wearing work boots? Or flip flops? One will never know...) Up next, the homeowner is working on the landscaping. Professional photos to follow...

Our Redwood City casita above garage and mud room addition project has the first (scratch) coat of stucco up, insulation installed, and is awaiting drywall delivery. We’re ready to hit the ground running once it’s safe to proceed.

Hope you’re all staying safe and hanging in there! In an effort to maintain current health guidelines, progress has been slower than usual here at HCI. Just like everyone else, we are traversing a very strange time; I never thought I’d have an inspection via FaceTime or that our team would have a socially distant safety meeting pertaining to social distancing. Very strange, indeed. We are so, incredibly fortunate for the health of our team, our past and present clients, subc...ontractors, vendors, building departments, etc., and that we have been able to temporarily halt the projects that we can, and safely manage the projects that were not yet at reasonable stopping points. We are also very grateful to every single one of the aforementioned individuals. Our clients, for their patience, understanding, and support. Our employees, for their trust, hard work, and dedication. The countless other companies, institutions, and individuals that we collaborate with and depend on who have worked tirelessly amidst ever changing recommendations, ultimately in an effort to keep families in their homes. Balancing safety with progress has been a massive challenge, and would be impossible if not for the total cooperation of everyone involved. Everyone is truly going above and beyond. So I, Alan Hills, would like to personally thank you all for being a part of the HCI team, now more than ever, as we hang in there and traverse this strange time together. We look forward to overcoming this challenge and getting back to business as usual when the time is right.
