Finished up an entire house, from start to finish Plumbing and HVAC Other contractors didn’t want the job cause they didn’t think they could get it through title 24 but with a good understanding of not only plumbing but HVAC as well lead me to the idea to hard duct (like a commercial job) with one single 4 ton unit between both houses. Radiant heating under the floor in the great room to combat those cold Pollack pines snow days. That coupled with switching dryer, furnace, r...ange and switching to a tankless water heater(no standing pilot light) had us passing with flying colors. We didn’t just switch around gas vs Electric options but we drastically increased efficiency ($$$) while saving a ton of money going from original plan that was set in front of me for 8 different electric HVAC units to one single unit with 4 re-purposed heaters from my house that the landlord wanted gone after my house had central heating and air installed. Tankless water heaters need to be descaled every 1-2 years depending on your water quality, here you see me descaled a brand new tankless for the first time it has been done. This isn’t so much a recommendation like with tanked water heaters where most lasted 10+ years without flushing them. A plumber needs to inspect the filter( don’t try yourself as the connection is under pressure) and they can show you just how badly it may need to be done. Then depending on how long it takes the plumber can let you know how often it needs to be descaled moving forward
