Even if we are not sick physically, we are heavily affected mentally by this Covid-19 atmosphere. And as you know, there is a lot more going around us to make us crazy... Anyway, please keep eye on your kids. If you are stressed out, they are also building up stress little by little too. They are watching, listening and feeling you. The heart has a big capacity to hold these stress but it also has limit. Everyone has its own size and kids size is not that big... it's like b...alloon, once blown up, it's hard to fix. And it will affect them for the rest of their life. So we have to release it before blown up. But kids usually don't know how... I'm sure that parents are doing their best but I know that it's not easy. The hard part is to draw the line between spoiling and caring. Probably it's easier in normal time but it's not in this abnormal time. Nobody has experienced before. I found this site. I thought it might give us some advice to deal with. https://www.cdc.gov//dail/parental-resource-kit/index.html

I had extra guest for movie night. A hummingbird came in tent classroom and stayed whole movie with us. (He/she couldn’t find the way out even though side wall were wide open. ) Anyway, he(she) was too tired to move after movie. I could just reach him and take him from tent post. He(she) took a nap about 10 minuets on my hand. ( I could see he was sleeping. He was repositioning and making himself comfortable ) I gave sugared water when he woke up. He looked happy when he flew away

I understand that weekday is school night, but I thought kids and parents need a break to refresh. So I'll be doing movie night everyday next a couple of weeks ( I have a lot of selections of movies ) since I only do 2 families per night. Contact me if you are interested in!!

Tent is up!! Thank you very much for your help Rey Taira!!! This is going to be outdoor classroom for next a few months. There will be sidewalls when weather changes. It's big space ( 20'x 30' ) but I'm going to keep it for small. ( 4 kids max ) group so everyone can keep safe distance. Now, time to decorate under the tent for fun class!!

Dear Parents, This is class update. Now, Drawing Training classes will be 2 month semester system and first semester is October 1st - December 31st. kids must enroll before it starts. Otherwise, they have to wait until new semester starts. If you are interested in enrolling for your kids in first semester or have any questions, please contact me before October 1st. This is just for drawing training class. Crafts classes are same, year round and you can enroll anytime.... Warning: this training class is NOT for fun nor Socializing. I understand that we are in the middle of pandemic and kids are having hard time dealing with it. But that doesn't mean that they have to compromise or stop what they were learning. In any field, continuing practice is only way to success/improve. So I'll keep doing the same level and stay hard as it was before pandemic. I probably won't get a lot of kids in this class but It's okay. Even if small group ( or one kid ), as long as they are eager to learn, I'll keep doing this class. Regular classes are all same. These classes are more for socializing. Completing projects are kind of secondly thing for now. I'd like them to relax and enjoy the time with friends and have fun with arts and crafts without worrying about covid-19. So if you are looking for socializing class for kids, regular class is the one. Every kids are taking this pandemic differently, please choose classes as your child's needs. Thank you!! Hideki
